Carol and I are overjoyed with the antique base that you sold us and later
shipped to us in NY. The experience was one of the the best we have had
dealing with a business. Not only did you research and find just the base
of a table. Not only was it in fantastic condition. Not only was it being
shipped from France and then being shipped from Arkansas, but it arrived
in perfect conditon. The use of Craters and Freighters was the right
choice. It took me almost an hour to unpack it from the crate and unwrap
all the protective wrap around the base. The pictures we saw of the base
while it was in France did not do it justice. There is so much more
detail in this piece. I made a temporary top of 3/4 oak ply and we put a
short red table cloth on it for the holidays. We are looking for a 42"
granite top that will be made and added to this beautiful piece of
furniture. If anyone is doubtful about buying or shipping furniture from
French Metro Antiques, just have them e-mail me.
