Making a Purchase

  • In order to purchase an item from our online gallery, call our shop Monday through Saturday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST at 479.587.0804, or e-mail us at info@frenchmetro.com. Please do not send credit card information via e-mail.
  • The items appearing in our online gallery represent only a portion of the inventory found in our retail shop, and as such all items are subject to prior sale.
  • We understand how difficult it can be to shop online without seeing an antique in person, which is precisely why we do everything we can to accurately represent our pieces. We strive to provide to our clients thorough descriptions of our pieces including, but not limited to, provenance, age, materials and any flaws that may exist, knowing that our clients are placing their trust in our professionalism in making an online purchase. We make every attempt to answer any questions our clients may have and to accurately present the condition of our pieces through photos, emails, and phone conversations. We understand that each person’s tolerance level for imperfections is unique, and we do our best to understand what that tolerance level is to avoid unhappy customers.
  • Since our pieces are not reproductions, but date from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries, there is no warranty on our pieces. Once a piece has arrived safely at its final destination, French Metro Antiques does not pay for any additional restoration that our clients elect to have done. However, we hand select each and every piece in France with an eye for quality as well as beauty and strive to bring back authentic pieces of excellent craftsmanship.

Payment Methods

  • We accept VISA, Mastercard, and Discover, personal and business checks, cashier’s checks, money orders, and wire transfers. We reserve the right to delay shipping of merchandise until all funds have cleared.
  • We offer a ninety-day layaway plan with an initial payment of one third down. One-third of the remaining balance is due at the end of thirty days. The second one-third of the remaining balance is due at the end of sixty days, and the final third of the remaining balance is due at the end of ninety days. You will be mailed monthly statements until the balance has been paid in full. A 1.5% finance charge on the unpaid balance will be charged if payments are not received in full at the end of ninety days. A late fee of $10 will be charged if payments are not received on time. A restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price will be charged in case of cancellation of a layaway purchase.

Delivery Information

  • Packing and shipping are at the client's expense.
  • We arrange shipping by professionals who will fully insure your purchases. We engage the services of Craters and Freighters out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, for packing and shipping, as well as UPS and the U.S. Postal Service for smaller items.
  • Expect two weeks delivery time once your piece has been picked up from our shop by the shipper. Smaller items that are shipped UPS generally arrive more quickly.
  • We do not always receive notification from these shipping professionals when they have completed delivery of our pieces, but we love to hear back from our clients when they have received their purchases.
  • For shipping quotes, please contact us with the reference numbers of the items you are interested in and your zip code.
  • Local deliveries to Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers, Bentonville, and Bella Vista are free of charge.

Returns

  • We accept returns on web site purchases for full refund provided French Metro is notified within 48 hours of receipt of the item of the intent to make a return. Returns must be made within seven days of the client’s request for a refund and all items must be returned to us in the same condition as when they left our shop. All returns require authorization by French Metro. Please contact us in advance to make arrangements to return merchandise. We regret that shipping and packing costs cannot be refunded. Return shipping is at the client's expense and full insurance during shipping is required. Upon receipt of your return, we will immediately process your refund using the same means of payment chosen at the time of purchase.
  • We do not accept returns for purchases made in our shop. All sales are final.
